Wadjda is currently a girl residing in a suburb of Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. Even though she is in a universe that is traditional, Wadjda is fun loving, entrepreneurial and consistently pushing the boundaries of what she'll get out with. After a struggle with her friend Abdullah, a locality boy shouldn't be having fun , Wadjda sees a green bicycle for sale. She's the bicycle desperately so she can beat Abdullah in a rush. However, the mother of Wadjda wont allow it, fearing consequences from a society which sees bicycles rather dangerous into some girl's merit. So Wadjda decides to attempt to improve the money herself...
