The adolescent scuba diver, Hikari Kohinata, lives in a small town nearby the ocean. On her very first day of school she still matches the transfer student, Futaba Oki, who's trying hard after moving off from Tokyo to discover a place. Hikari takes the lead, dragging Futaba into her Hi-jinx, and the two soon become buddies
