Dallas is a little boy who embarks on a quest to find his pool hustler father when he abandons his family. Dallas is determined to reunite with his father when he encounters Joe Haley, a vagabond struggling with a history he'd prefer forget, who feels responsible for Dallas' safety and reluctantly takes him in.
