Trapped near the summit of K2, the world's second-highest mountain, Annie Garrett radios for support to base camp. Annie's message is heard by brother Peter and assembles a team before they succumb to the unforgiving elements of K2 to rescue her group. But, as Annie lays injured in a icy cavern, the rescuers face their own lifestyles -- and frightening events that may end the rescue attempt.
