Alec Graham is sentenced to fatality for the murder of his sweetheart Agnes, with whom he spent a weekend break at the English estate of the parents of his good friend Brian Stanford. Alec's daddy, David Graham, a not-so-successful author and also alcoholic that has overlooked his child in the past, flies in from Canada to visit his son on death row. David then takes place a pursuit to attempt and clear his child's name while battling "the bottle."
