Happening 500 years following the Havoc in Heaven, the Tang Priest is made by Buddha to go to bring the scriptures to unintentionally free the Monkey King. Together with Lady White (Gong Li) intending to break up the team assembled to defeat the Monkey King has to struggle so as to save his world!
