Overview
A wealthy Greek-Australian woman, Christina (Claudia Karvan) is a schoolteacher who is happy with her traditional existence. Students at an inner-city working-class school criticize her ideas. Christina falls for Nick, a 17-year-old aspiring soccer player, while helping non-anglo pupils join a soccer club in a school where the racist PE instructor only promotes Australian Rules Football (Alex Dimitriades). After that, Christina's family and culture are challenged. Beautifully done by a youthful cast, and insightfully crafted.
