Overview
John Cavendish, a Scottish adventurer, arrives in Tuscany in the 18th century and gains his wealth via his great knowledge of botany and agriculture. Marcus Cavendish, an American painter and playboy with rising debts, receives a letter from Chiara Conti, an Italian solicitor, informing him that he is descended from the Cavendish family. She informs him that he is the heir of Peter Cavendish, John Cavendish's last descendant. Marcus flies to Tuscany to claim his inheritance, believing that it will cure his financial issues and may even help him sort out his head. Marcus believes he has resolved all of his problems upon his arrival at Cavendish Castle, but upon discovering that he must battle an ancient evil that has tormented his family for centuries, he realizes that money, property, and land mean little when confronted with a blood curse as a surprise inheritance.
