While exploring the horrifying death of her boyfriend, Mai Takano (Miki Nakatani) learns about a videotape haunted by the soul of a troubling woman named Sadako, that kills anyone who sees it exactly 1 week after. When her boy friend's child starts to build up precisely the abilities that are exact Takano has to discover a way to hold the boy and herself from becoming the next victims.
