On the boundary of a city, 11-year-old Alexander resides in a commune alongside additional kids, their mothers, and leader, Gregori. Gregori teaches the kids how to raise livestock, grow veggies, work for a residential area - and also to kill. Alexander begins to wonder Gregori's overpowering influence on the kids and their practice with the birth of a new baby brother weighing on his mind. Threatened by his own rising unwillingness to collapse inline, the behaviour of Gregori turns adversarial and out inconsistent supporting the kid he considered a son. With the two set dangerously at odds as well as the commune's way of life , the residents fear that a violent settlement are at hand.
