Christopher Gill is a psychotic killer who disguises himself in different ways to trick and strangle his victims. Moe Brummel is a New York City police detective who is single and very stressed. She starts to get phone calls from the strangler, and they start to build a strange friendship as a result. Kate Palmer is a swinging, hip tour guide who sees the strangler leave her dead neighbor's apartment and wants to find the detective who caught him. She wants to meet him. His big brother is a successful Jewish doctor. Moe's live-in mother wants her son to be as good as his big brother.
