Jang Geu Rae has been playing "baduk" (a strategic game similar to chess) since he was a toddler. Playing the game meant everything to him, yet he never made it as a professional baduk player. He is now thrust into the real world. He is able to begin working as an intern at Wonin International thanks to the recommendation of a friend, and he struggles to adjust to working at a firm. Meanwhile, Ahn Young Yi is a capable and intelligent new intern, and Jang Baek Ki is a colleague. Oh Sang Sik will be their leader.
