Ten Canadian lesbians discuss discovering pulp fiction about women in love, their first affairs, the sorrow of splitting up, frequenting gay bars, facing police raids, men's attitudes, and butch and femme roles in the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s. Four "Forbidden Love" chapters are dramatized between interviews and archival video.
