Lydia Campbell and her daughter Elle have just moved from Los Angeles to Florida under unexplained circumstances. Elle is a senior at Bellview High, where Lydia is the new Assistant Principal. Both are new to the town, so they want to live a better life and will do anything to get there. As prom season starts, Elle does everything she can, with Lydia by her side, to gain popularity and become homecoming queen.
